Building a scalable digital foundation for rural communities
The ConnectALL Initiative is revolutionizing digital infrastructure in New York State, and Consertus is proud to play a key role in Franklin County. Consertus was contracted by Franklin County to design and manage two Broadband Municipal Infrastructure Projects (MIP) comprising approximately 175 miles of fiber and infrastructure supporting five fixed wireless access (FWA) locations. This infrastructure expands digital access and supports long-term community growth.

Consertus’ role
Acting as the County’s Engineer and Project Manager, Consertus is responsible for engineering, permitting, and managing the project(s) through construction. Our services and responsibilities include:
- Fiber network engineering, permitting with the DOT, rail authorities, DEC, and the Adirondack Park Agency (APA)
- Completing applications and facilitating pole attachment licensing with ELEC’s and Joint Pole Owners
- Easement acquisition and negotiation
- Civil, site, and structural engineering and design
Our team is responsible for assistance in developing and managing RFPs for material and equipment procurement and construction. Consertus will provide construction management services, including reporting and financial oversight, quality and safety, and alignment with project objectives.
This deployment of internet service is supported by grants awarded to Franklin County by New York State through the ConnectALL program.
